CursiveStudio/About
About the studio
Cursive should make sense in motion.
CursiveStudio is a free writing resource for exploring individual letterforms, understanding how letters connect, previewing complete words, and creating printable practice sheets.
Why we built it
A cursive letter rarely lives alone. Its exit stroke, spacing, and rhythm change when another letter follows. CursiveStudio brings those relationships into view, so people can move from choosing a letterform to practising it inside a real word or phrase.
Our approach
We design each page around a specific writing task. Alphabet pages give an overview, single-letter pages focus attention, and phrase pages show rhythm at a useful scale. The tools are intended for self-directed practice, classroom support, creative lettering, and everyday curiosity.
CursiveStudio is a reference and practice tool, not a substitute for professional instruction, occupational therapy, or a required school handwriting curriculum.
About the fonts
The current collection uses Dancing Script, Birthstone, Allura, Parisienne, MonteCarlo, and Lobster for cursive previews, with Cal Sans for interface text. These open fonts are distributed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. More detail appears in our Terms of Use.
Independent resource
CursiveStudio is independently created and maintained. References to font names, Google Fonts, social platforms, products, or trademarks belong to their respective owners and do not imply sponsorship or endorsement.
